1953

The beginning

Scana Offshore was established in 1953 as Brødrene Johnsen, a mechanical engineering and production company supplying equipment for the automotive and electronics industry.

1990

Marine Consulting Group

The company started manufacturing bow loading systems for Marine Consulting Group which later became Advanced Production and Loading.

1995-2005

Turret system

Scana Offshore supplied 10 turret systems. A number of products still used by APL were developed by Scana Offshore.

2005

Sevan Marine

Scana Offshore started supplying its own chain jacks and offloading systems for Sevan Marine. This was followed by a number of contracts for offloading, mooring and turret systems and components.

2018

Breakthrough in the fish farming segment

In 2018, Scana Offshore entered into a contract for the turret mooring system for Nordlaks’ floating marine farm – Havfarm 1. The contract includes anchoring analyzes, delivery of turret, retraction system, chain and anchors, as well as installation engineering. This project was a major breakthrough for Scana Offshore as a system supplier.

2020

Breakthrogh in the floating wind segment

Kvaerner ASA has awarded Scana Offshore AS a contract for the supply of mooring equipment to Hywind Tampen, Equinor’s new floating wind farm. The contract is Scana Offshore’s first hardware contract in the floating wind power market.

2020

From Scana Offshore to Seasystems

Scana Offshore changes name to Seasystems. Seasystems provides quality products and services to following markets: Oil & gas, Floating wind and Fish farming.
